We are modernizing our trigger system by gradually upgrading the underlying technology. This update is designed to be seamless, with minimal impact on the day-to-day use of NeuroFlow.
Changes for System Administrators & Content Managers - the only change to expect is on the Triggers page. As each trigger is upgraded, that trigger will be disabled in Manage and a banner will be added to the page to identify workflows that are in use.
Impact on End Users - The end user (patient/member/service member) experience will remain the same. For example, at registration, once a trigger is upgraded, end users will still receive the same content and assessments, but a different underlying technology will support it.
If you have any questions about a particular trigger or about this upgrade, please contact support@neuroflow.com.
Triggers automatically assign templates to individuals based on a specific event, such as a change in status or a change in assessment score. This allows automated assigning of activities and removes some manual work for those manual, repetitive assignments.
For example, in a scenario where every newly added individual is assigned a journal activity, a trigger for this can be created so that it happens automatically for every new individual. This allows NeuroFlow to automatically generate content for individuals in the background without your manual assignment, allowing you to provide the highest touch with minimal effort.
How To View Triggers
1. Hover over the "Content" drop-down >> Select "Triggers"
Trigger Types
Two types of Triggers are in place for you already within the NeuroFlow platform. Note that you can add up to four templates per trigger, and these can be turned off and on at any time.
• "Alcohol Education" - This trigger will automatically assign content when a client completes an AUDIT-C and the result is positive. It will default to the "Default Alcohol Use 101" template.
• "Anxiety Education" - This trigger allows you to automatically assign content when a client's GAD-2 and/or GAD-7 questionnaire is greater than or equal to moderate. It will default to NeuroFlow's "Default Anxiety 101" template but can be edited to assign any template(s).
• "Anxiety Prevention" - This trigger will automatically assign content when a client completes a GAD-2 and/or GAD-7 and the result is less than or equal to mild. It will default to NeuroFlow's "Default Sleep 101" template.
• "Client Reengagement" - This trigger is geared towards re-engaging existing individuals. If a client's status becomes missing, they will be sent the "Default for Missing Clients" template and the default text message as an automatic outreach attempt to the individual. You can adjust which template is sent within this Trigger as well. This is a one-time trigger and will be applied to all eligible individuals as soon as it is turned on.
• "Depression Education" - This trigger allows you to automatically assign content when a client's PHQ9 questionnaire is of moderate severity or worse. It will default to NeuroFlow's "Default Depression 101" template but can be edited to assign any template(s).
• "Loneliness Content" - This trigger will automatically assign content when a client completes a UCLA-3 and the result is greater than or equal to lonely. It will default to NeuroFlow's "Final: Loneliness 101" template.
• “New Client” - This trigger will automatically assign the “Mental Health 101" template to new and active clients, but only once it is turned ON. It will default to NeuroFlow's "Default Alcohol Use 101" template but can be edited to assign any template(s).
• "PTSD Education" - This trigger will automatically assign the "Default PTSD Trigger" template when a client completes a PC-PTSD-5 questionnaire and the result is positive.
• "Self-harm education" - This trigger will automatically assign content when a client becomes Urgent. It will default to the "Default for Urgent Clients" template.
• "Template Completion" - This trigger will automatically assign another trigger, based on the completion of a previous trigger. Note that the second trigger will only fire when at least one activity from the first trigger is complete.
• "Severity Score Trigger" - distinct content can now be triggered if an individual reaches varying levels of severity: moderate, moderately severe, or severe. NeuroFlow’s existing content and
journeys can be triggered by these severity changes, or you can configure the triggers
to activate content from your organization instead.
• "Substance Use Education" - This trigger will automatically assign the Substance Use 101 & 102 journeys when an individual scores positively (moderate or above) on the DAST-10 assessment.
OBGYN Platform-Specific Triggers
(Note that these triggers will only appear in your NeuroFlow space if you are an OBGYN practice. These triggers are in addition to the default standard ones listed above):
• "New Client 1st/2nd/no trimester"-This trigger will automatically assign the “Default MH 101 - Moms" and "Default What to Expect" template to new and active clients in their 1st/2nd/no trimester. This is based on the baby due date that is entered in either by the NeuroFlow platform user or by the individual directly.
• "New Client 3rd+trimester"- This trigger will automatically assign the “Default MH 101 - Moms" and "Default What to Expect" template to new and active clients in their 3rd+ trimester. This is based on the baby's due date that is entered in either by the NeuroFlow platform user or by the individual directly.
• "Post Delivery" - This trigger will assign the "Default Welcome to Motherhood" to the client 7 days after the baby due date. (Note that the due date can be amended at any time by the NeuroFlow platform user or the individual directly).
• "Pre Delivery" - This trigger will assign the "Default Delivery Preparation" to the client 14 days before the baby due date. (Note that the due date can be amended at any time by the NeuroFlow platform user or the individual directly).
• "Switch to Edinburgh - 3rd Trimester" - This trigger will automatically assign the “Default Monthly Edinburgh" template to clients in their 3rd+ trimester. This is based on the due date that is entered by the NeuroFlow platform user or the individual directly.
