Enhanced Clinical Documentation
New Private/Internal Only Note Type: Healthcare providers can now create notes designated as "Private/Internal Only" that document critical patient information without appearing in Monthly Review reports. This dedicated note type enables behavioral health managers to maintain NeuroFlow as their single source truth while keeping this information separate from client-facing monthly reports. The feature supports direct note entry by eBH providers to close communication loops in care coordination. Available by default for all organizations as a new NeuroFlow standard note type with no time tracking and hidden 'Clear Flag alerts' checkbox.
Improved Patient Communication
Enhanced Omnichannel Assessment Reminder Email Subject Lines: Assessment reminder emails now use clear, action-oriented subject lines that explicitly communicate pending assessments instead of generic gamification messaging. The update replaces "Get your 50 points today!" with clinically-focused language "Complete your measures" to ensure patients understand the therapeutic importance of time-sensitive assessments like PHQ-9 and GAD-7. This change reduces the risk of patients dismissing critical clinical communications as spam or promotional content, improving assessment completion rates and reducing provider intervention burden.
Patient Account Reactivation Email Notification: When patient user accounts are reactivated after suspension, an automated "Welcome Back" email is now sent to notify users that their NeuroFlow access has been restored. This proactive communication reduces support tickets during account transitions and improves user experience. The feature leverages existing email notification framework and includes two versions based on whether the organization uses point redemption.
Expanded Assessment Library
Work and Social Adjustment Scale (WSAS) Assessment: New standardized assessment available to measure functional impairment across work and social domains. This brief 5-item self-report evaluates how mental health symptoms interfere with work ability, home management responsibilities, social leisure activities, private leisure activities, and relationship maintenance. Each item uses a 0-8 scale (0 = not at all impaired, 8 = very severely impaired) with total scores ranging 0-40. Scoring thresholds: 0-9 indicates None to Mild functional impairment, 10-20 indicates Significant functional impairment, and 21-40 indicates Moderately Severe to Severe functional impairment. Available in both English and Spanish, assignable to patients, with graph display showing impairment levels and clinical suggestions triggered for scores above 9.
Assessment Experience
Improved Assessment Instructions: Contextual information for assessments now appears on the pre-assessment screen instead of being repeated on each question, improving clarity and reducing redundancy. Instructions have been simplified to meet target reading level with language like "Some questions may be unclear. Answer the best you can." instead of longer explanatory text. This enhancement applies to multiple assessments including SCARED, ASRS-5, Oswestry scales, and others, creating a cleaner assessment experience across both mobile and web platforms.
