Caregiver Flows: Assessment Delivery for Contacts & Proxy Respondents
NeuroFlow's Caregiver Flows capability expands how assessments can be delivered — beyond the patient — to the people who support them.
This feature enables two important clinical scenarios:
Collateral Informant Assessments — Certain assessments are designed to capture input from a parent, guardian, or teacher rather than the patient themselves (e.g., SCARED-P, VADTRS for ADHD). These are automatically routed to the appropriate Contact based on their role/relationship to the patient.
Proxy Assessments — For patients below an organization's minimum age threshold, assessments can be sent to a designated parent or guardian to complete on the child's behalf. Age-range guardrails enforce this routing automatically, ensuring age-appropriate assessments always reach the right recipient.
In both cases, the Contact receives the assessment link via SMS or email, completes it through the standard web experience, and results are recorded directly in the patient's Manage profile — with clear attribution showing who completed the assessment.
The capability remains behind a feature flag; organizations interested in broader enablement should reach out to their Customer Success Manager.
Pediatric & Parent-Report Assessment Library
Four new parent-report assessments expand support for child and adolescent behavioral health screening and multi-informant evaluation:
PSC-17 (Pediatric Symptom Checklist) — a brief 17-item parent-report screen of psychosocial functioning for children ages 4–17, covering internalizing, externalizing, and attention risk. Supports routine symptom monitoring and treatment-progress tracking.
SCARED-P (Screen for Child Anxiety Related Emotional Disorders – Parent) — a 41-item parent-reported anxiety screen for ages 8–18 covering generalized anxiety, social anxiety, school avoidance, panic/somatic symptoms, and separation anxiety, guiding further evaluation and referral.
VADPRS (Vanderbilt ADHD Diagnostic Parent Rating Scale) — a parent-reported, DSM-5-based ADHD assessment for youth measuring symptom frequency, co-occurring behavioral/emotional symptoms, and functional impairment. Designed for multi-informant use; not an independent diagnostic tool.
SMFQ-P (Short Mood and Feelings Questionnaire – Parent) — a 13-item parent-report depression screen for children and adolescents, pairing with the child self-report SMFQ-C for multi-informant evaluation and routine symptom monitoring.
Additional Pediatric & Trauma Assessments
Three more child and adolescent assessments are in validation and expected in upcoming releases: CATS-S (self-report PTSD screen, ages 7–17), CPSS-5-SR (self-report DSM-5 PTSD symptom scale), and CMRS-P (parent-report mania screen). All are screening tools intended to inform further clinical evaluation, not serve as standalone diagnoses.
Therapeutic Alliance Measurement
The WAI-SR (Working Alliance Inventory — Short Revised) is a 12-item self-report measure of the therapeutic relationship. It complements outcome measurement by giving clinicians visibility into engagement and alliance over time.
Progress & Graphing UI/UX Uplift
A refresh of the Progress and Graphing area for better readability, easier trend discovery, and a more flexible format that works for adolescent and other populations beyond primary PHQ/GAD workflows. This includes an easy-view card to the left of the assessment graph highlighting key information about a patient's most recent response for each questionnaire type, making it faster to review current status at a glance.
